All-day: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 3:00pm Including half an hour for lunch - FREE

Please note: These sessions cannot be mixed.

You will be asked to choose mornings, afternoons or all-day sessions. These can be a combination of funded and non-funded sessions.

We would recommend that your child has a minimum of two/three sessions per week (a minimum of two sessions for a 'Rising 3' and three sessions for a 3 year old) so that your child benefits from all that the nursery has to offer.

Although we hope to accommodate all parents with the sessions they require, these are on a first come, first served basis, as we need to ensure that we have the correct staffing ratios to care for the children.

Desmond Anderson Nursery accepts the Early Years Free Entitlement (FE), for either a maximum of 15 hours (Univeresal FE) or 30 hours (Extended FE) per week.

Once parents have completed the Free Entitlement Parent Declaration Form at their child’s taster session, providing the child is eligible for the 3 and 4 year old FE, the nursery will claim the FE funding on behalf of the family for up to 38 weeks (term time only, inset days and bank holidays are not included).

We are also able to offer eligible working parents 30 hours Extended Free Entitlement. To find out if you are eligible go to:

If your child is only eligible for the Universal FE, you can pay for additional sessions.

Some 'Rising 3' may be able to access the 2 year old Free Entitlement. To find out if you are eligible and to apply go to:

Read the Free Entitlement Leaflet for more information
